Yes, it is greatly appreciated and customary as in any service business. Average tip is 15-20% of the total charter fee.
May/June are the overall best time of year and my favorite month. That is because its Tarpon season & Grouper opens on May 1st and the mutton spawn which are all a big deal on the calendar down in Key West. The weather is also just right at that time, not too hot and not much rain.

No fish are really “easy” to catch, but our most common are probably snapper or sharks.
Key West is known for its variety of fishing, like catching Tarpon off the beach in less than 5 feet of water or catching Sailfish 10 miles off shore in 200 feet deep water and everything between.
Key West Florida will always be my capital. In my experience there is no location that offers such a variety of fish to be caught all year long as in the Florida Keys.
Key West is the best because it is geographically the furthest from the “mainland” and the closest to the Gulf of Mexico.
You are paying for an experienced crew that often includes a captain and staff members. The charter fee also includes use of the boat, fuel, fishing tackle and necessary permits to fish in the waters around Key West.
When you book a charter with us, they range from 4 – 8 hours.
The charter guests keep the fish that is allowed by local regulations. The catch will be filleted and bagged by the captain for the customers upon arrival back to the dock.
